  • Approximate location. A general geographic location, typically at the city or region level, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from your device through our website.
  • Cookie and pixel data. Identifiers stored by cookies, pixels, and similar technologies as described in Section 8.

2.3 Information We Receive From Third Parties

  • Lead sources. Contact and job details forwarded to us when you submit a request through a directory, marketplace, referral partner, or advertising platform such as Google or Facebook.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. Aggregated or pseudonymous data about how visitors found and interacted with our advertisements.
  • Public and commercial sources. Publicly available property or address information used to confirm a service location or plan access for equipment.

2.4 Sensitive Information

Please do not send this information to us. If you send it to us anyway, we will delete it once we identify it, unless we are required by law to keep it.

We collect personal information when you:

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following business purposes:

  • To prepare quotes and estimates and to respond to your inquiries and requests.
  • To schedule, perform, and complete services, including dispatching crews and equipment, confirming arrival windows, coordinating access to your property, and arranging disposal.
  • To communicate with you about a job in progress, including appointment confirmations, arrival notifications, delays, follow-up questions, and completion notices.
  • To process payments, issue invoices and receipts, collect balances due, apply dump fees and rental charges, and handle refunds or disputes.
  • To administer dump trailer rentals, including tracking rental periods, delivery and pickup, condition of equipment, and damage or overage assessments.

  • To measure and improve our advertising, including understanding which advertisements and search terms generate inquiries.
  • To keep business records required for accounting, tax, insurance, and disposal compliance purposes.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program and Consent

This section describes our text messaging practices and is an important part of this Privacy Policy. Please read it in full.

5.1 What Messages We Send

If you provide us with your mobile telephone number, we may send you text messages relating to:

  • Service and transactional messages, such as quote responses, appointment confirmations, arrival and delay notifications, questions about job details, invoices, payment reminders, and dump trailer delivery and pickup coordination; and
  • Promotional and marketing messages, such as service reminders, seasonal offers, and availability announcements, but only if you have separately agreed to receive them.

5.2 How You Give Consent

We send text messages only to individuals who have given prior express consent to receive them from Acadian Services. You may give consent by submitting a form on our website that includes a text messaging consent checkbox, by texting us first, by providing your mobile number verbally and agreeing to be texted, or by signing a service or rental agreement that includes a text messaging authorization.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. You may request and receive a quote, schedule work, and rent equipment without agreeing to receive marketing texts.

5.3 Message Frequency and Cost

Message frequency varies and depends on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. Acadian Services is not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

5.4 How to Opt Out

You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a single confirmation message and will stop sending text messages to that number. You may also revoke consent by any other reasonable method, including by calling us at (225) 241-0244 or emailing grantjonathana@gmail.com and telling us to stop texting you. We will honor a revocation request as soon as practicable and in no event later than ten (10) business days after we receive it.

If you opt out of marketing text messages, we may still contact you by text about an active job, rental, or unpaid invoice where you have not withdrawn consent to transactional messages, and we may still contact you by telephone or email.

5.5 How to Get Help

For help with our text messaging program, reply HELP to any message, call (225) 241-0244, or email grantjonathana@gmail.com.

5.6 Carrier Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of text messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Not all mobile devices or carriers support all message types.

5.7 Mobile Information Is Not Shared for Marketing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the information sharing categories described in Section 11 of this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share your mobile number only with the technology vendors that operate our messaging platform strictly so those messages can be delivered to you, and those vendors are contractually prohibited from using your number for their own marketing purposes.

6. Telephone Calls and Call Recording

When you call us, or when we call you, we may collect your telephone number, the date, time, and duration of the call, and notes about what was discussed. Calls may be answered by an answering service or routed through a business telephone system.

We may monitor or record telephone calls for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and record-keeping purposes. Louisiana law permits the recording of a telephone conversation with the consent of one party to the conversation. Where a call is being recorded, we will tell you at the beginning of the call. If you do not wish to be recorded, tell us and we will either stop the recording or continue the conversation by email or text instead.

If you provide your telephone number to us, you consent to receive calls and voicemails from us relating to your quote, your scheduled service, or your rental. You may withdraw consent to marketing calls at any time by telling us, by replying to a text message with STOP, or by contacting us using the details in Section 22.

7. Email Communications

We use your email address to send quotes, invoices, receipts, appointment confirmations, service updates, and, where permitted, promotional messages. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address, as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking that link or by emailing us at grantjonathana@gmail.com. We will process your request promptly and in no event later than ten (10) business days after receipt.

Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional email relating to an active job, rental, or outstanding balance.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, and software development kits. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. For a fuller description of the specific technologies we use, see our Cookie Policy.

We use the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the website to function, to keep the site secure, to prevent form spam, and to remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be turned off through our website.
  • Performance and analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are most useful, and where visitors encounter problems.
  • Functional cookies, which remember information you have entered so that you do not have to re-enter it.
  • Advertising and targeting cookies, which are set by us or by our advertising partners to measure advertising performance and to show you our advertisements on other websites and platforms.

8.1 Managing Cookies

Most web browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can usually change your browser settings to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is set. Instructions are available in your browser’s help documentation. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of our website, including our quote request forms, may not work correctly.

8.2 Anti-Spam Technology

Our forms may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which distinguishes human users from automated software. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service. Google collects hardware and software information and behavioral data from your device for this purpose.

9. Analytics and Advertising

We use third-party analytics and advertising services to understand how our website performs and to promote our services to people in our Louisiana service area.

  • Google Analytics helps us measure website traffic and usage. You can learn more from the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
  • Google Ads may be used to show our advertisements to people who have visited our website or who match a similar audience. You can manage your Google advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools may be used for the same purpose. You can manage your preferences through your Facebook Ad Preferences.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. Opting out stops interest-based advertising but does not stop all advertising.

10. Photographs of Your Property

Junk removal and hauling work is documented visually. We may take photographs or video of the work area before, during, and after a job. We use these images to prepare quotes, document the condition of a property, confirm the scope of work performed, resolve disputes about damage or completeness, support insurance claims, and satisfy disposal requirements.

We may also use before-and-after photographs in our marketing, including on our website, in our Google Business Profile, and on social media. When we use images for marketing, we take reasonable steps to avoid showing house numbers, street signs, license plates, mail, documents, faces, or other details that would identify you or your address.

If you do not want photographs of your property used for marketing, tell us before or during the job, or contact us at grantjonathana@gmail.com at any time afterward. We will remove the images from our marketing materials within a reasonable period. We will still retain a copy in our internal job file for the record-keeping and legal purposes described above.

11. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances described below, and, as stated in Section 5.7, every category below excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

11.1 Service Providers

We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf and who are contractually obligated to protect it and to use it only for the services they provide to us. These include:

  • Website hosting, maintenance, and security providers;
  • Customer relationship management (CRM), scheduling, dispatch, and marketing automation platforms;
  • Telephone, voicemail, and text messaging platform providers;
  • Email delivery providers;
  • Payment processors and invoicing platforms;
  • Analytics and advertising platforms, as described in Section 9;
  • Accounting, bookkeeping, and tax professionals; and
  • Insurance carriers, brokers, and adjusters in connection with a claim.

11.2 Subcontractors and Disposal Facilities

Where a job requires additional crews, equipment, or specialized handling, we may share your service address, access instructions, and job details with subcontracted haulers or crews. We may also provide information about the materials removed to landfills, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and scrap yards where disposal records are required.

11.3 Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with a subpoena, court order, warrant, or other lawful request by a public authority;
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, or local law, including environmental and disposal regulations;
  • Enforce our agreements, terms, and policies, or collect amounts owed to us;
  • Investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or illegal activity; or
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Acadian Services, our customers, our crews, or the public.

If we discover unlawful materials or evidence of a crime during a job, we may report it to law enforcement.

11.4 Business Transfers

If Acadian Services is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the receiving party to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you of any material change in how your information is handled.

11.5 With Your Direction or Consent

We share information in any other way you direct or approve, including when you ask us to coordinate with a property manager, landlord, realtor, contractor, or family member on your behalf.

12. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third parties for money or other valuable consideration, and we have not done so at any time. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted for the provision of the services you request.

13. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and then we delete it or render it unidentifiable. In general:

  • Quote requests that do not become jobs are retained for up to twenty-four (24) months, so that we can respond if you return.
  • Completed job records, invoices, rental agreements, and payment records are retained for at least seven (7) years to satisfy tax, accounting, insurance, and limitations-period requirements.
  • Job photographs are retained for at least three (3) years for damage and dispute purposes, and longer where a claim or dispute is pending.
  • Text message and call records, including consent and opt-out records, are retained for at least four (4) years, which reflects the federal statute of limitations applicable to telephone consumer protection claims.
  • Marketing contact lists are retained until you unsubscribe or opt out, after which we retain a minimal suppression record indefinitely so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics platform, typically fourteen (14) to twenty-six (26) months.

We may retain information longer where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

14. How We Protect Your Information

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encrypted transmission of data submitted through our website, access controls limiting employee and contractor access to what is needed to do their jobs, use of reputable vendors with their own security programs, and secure handling of payment information through a third-party processor rather than storage on our own systems.

No method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential and for the security of the email address and mobile number you give us.

If we experience a breach of the security of a system containing your personal information, we will notify you and the Louisiana Attorney General as required by the Louisiana Database Security Breach Notification Law, La. R.S. 51:3071 et seq., generally within sixty (60) days of discovery, and by any other means and within any other timeframe required by applicable law.

15. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

15.1 Choices Available to Everyone

Regardless of where you live, you may at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving text messages from us;
  • Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
  • Ask us by phone or email to stop calling or texting you for marketing purposes;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information in your customer file;
  • Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep; and
  • Ask us to stop using photographs of your property in our marketing.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details in Section 22. We will respond within forty-five (45) days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right, and we will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

15.2 State Privacy Rights

Several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others, have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws granting residents rights to know, access, correct, delete, and port their personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Louisiana has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute as of the effective date of this Policy.

Acadian Services is a small local business and does not meet the applicability thresholds of most of these statutes. Where such a law does apply to us and you are a resident of a state that grants those rights, we will honor them. You may submit a request as described in Section 15.3, and you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, in which case we will require written proof of the agent’s authority and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision within sixty (60) days and explaining why you believe the decision was incorrect. We will respond to an appeal within forty-five (45) days, and if we deny the appeal, we will provide you with a method to contact your state’s Attorney General.

15.3 How to Submit a Request

Submit privacy requests by email to grantjonathana@gmail.com or by telephone at (225) 241-0244. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, typically by matching the telephone number, email address, or service address in our records. We may decline a request where we cannot verify your identity or where an exception under applicable law applies.

16. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are directed to adults and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly sell or share for targeted advertising the personal information of anyone under the age of sixteen (16).

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at grantjonathana@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

17. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no uniform industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted, and our website does not respond to them at this time. You may still manage tracking through the browser controls and opt-out mechanisms described in Sections 8 and 9. If a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism applies to us in the future, we will honor it as required.

Our website, emails, and social media posts may link to websites operated by third parties, including Google Business Profile, Facebook, review platforms, payment pages, and map services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing information to it.

19. Job Applicants

If you apply to work with Acadian Services, we collect the information in your application, including your name, contact information, work history, references, and any information you volunteer. Where the position involves driving or operating equipment, and only where permitted by law and with the disclosures and authorizations required by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, we may obtain a motor vehicle record or background report.

We use applicant information solely to evaluate your application, to communicate with you about it, and to comply with employment and safety laws. We retain applications for at least one (1) year. We do not sell applicant information or use it for marketing.

20. Location of Processing

Acadian Services operates in the United States and our services are offered only to individuals and businesses located in Louisiana and adjacent areas. All information is collected, stored, and processed in the United States. Our website is not directed to individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and we do not offer goods or services to, or monitor the behavior of, individuals in those regions. If you access our website from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our technology, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and post the revised Policy here.

If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or share your personal information, we will provide additional notice, which may include an email to the address we have on file, a notice on our homepage, or a text message where you have consented to receive them. Your continued use of our website or services after a revised Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
